JACARANDA QUEEN CROWNING CEREMONY - In the evening the Junior Jacaranda Queen & Princess crowned then the judging of the 2009 Jacaranda Queen, Princess and Highest Fund-Raiser - Market Square. Starts 6.30pm.

JUDGING OF FESTIVE SHOPS, OFFICES & STAFF - Final judging on stage at Market Square commencing at 12 noon.

JACARANDA TALENT QUEST in Market Square.

VENETIAN CARNIVAL on the banks of the Clarence River featuring the Jacaranda Festival Wooden Boat Regatta. This exciting night features the Clarence Valley Council's Fireworks Displays.

JACARANDA FESTIVAL CELEBRATION OF WOODEN BOATS

An invitation for anyone with a wooden boat to participate - be it a canoe, kayak, sailing boat, speedboat, steam boat, or even an unfinished project, bring it along for both static and on-the-water displays.

Partake in a flotilla passing behind the stage at the Venetian Carnival and parade the boat in the Grand Float Procession.

GRAFTON CYCLE CLUB (Inc.) JACARANDA CRITERIUM

4 cycle races in Prince Street Grafton between Clock Tower and Oliver Streets. Racing will commence at 1pm and finish at approx 4.30pm.

Riders must be licensed (although 1 day licences will be available to approved and experienced riders. Racing in 4 Grades starting with D Grade and concluding with A Grade. Each race has several intermediate sprints for prize money as well as the overall prizes at the end of the race. Approx $3000 in prize money will be awarded at this event. Sign on/registration from 11.45am in Prince Street (near Pound Street). Cycling NSW rules apply. All races under the control of approved officials (commissaries).

JACARANDA FUN RUN

Taking place at Caramana Park, Rogan Bridge Rd. Waterview Heights, the Jacaranda Fun Run is back in 2009 but in a new location.

The day starts with a 2km run aimed at families and young children, run at and around Caramana Park. The 5km and 10km races start together after the 2km (approx 8.30am) and follow a 5km circuit taking in the Caramana Park, Caramana Drive, Kingfisher Place, Swan Drive and a short cross country section. The 10km involves 2 laps of the circuit.

Entry fees are: 2km - $2, 5km - $5, 10km - $10. On the day registration from 7am.

Pre race day registration details to be announced. Refreshments on sale. Medallions to outright winners and age category winners. Spot prizes to lucky participants.
