On behalf of the Jacaranda Festival Committee, I welcome visitors to our city for the 75th Jacaranda Festival.

I am proud to say that the Jacaranda Festival is still a family festival that has spread it's message far and wide, showing the world a community proud of it's natural surroundings and of the organised celebrations for this week. I encourage you all to enjoy the many functions and displays that are held over the week.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our sponsors, who continue to support us year after year. I would also like to thank all members of the Jacaranda Festival committee who give so much of their time on a voluntary basis to make this a special time in Grafton for everyone.

I also acknowledge our Festival Manager Libby Pigg, and thank her for the commitment she gives to the festival.

To all who come to our city, we say welcome, especially to our former Jacaranda Queens, Princesses, Matrons of Honour and members of the Queens Parties whom have returned to celebrate 75 years, we hope you enjoy the festival and are left with many happy memories.

On behalf of the Jacaranda Festival Committee have a happy and safe Jacaranda

Helen Weatherstone - Jacaranda Festival President

Do you have sharp observations skills?

Do you want the chance to win great prizes?

Very soon you will be able get hold of a Spot It Competition Form. From late October you can start browsing the shop fronts around Grafton. Any shop with the Spot It sticker (above) has put an object in their window display that doesn't belong. Can you tell what it is?

If you are a business and you would like to participate in the Spot It Competition then download, complete and return the Spot It (Business Participation) Form (below).

An invitation for anyone with a wooden boat to participate - be it a canoe, kayak, sailing boat, speedboat, steam boat, or even an unfinished project, bring it along for both static and on-the-water displays.

Partake in a flotilla passing behind the stage at the Venetian Carnival and parade the boat in the Grand Float Procession. For more details please phone: Gregg Spies 0408 420 623, 02 6643 0228 (work) or Nick Westman 0428 231 068 02 6643 4563 (home).
